Retailers are set to close stores for good this month

The British high street is constantly changing as popular retailers review where the business needs are.
Brands including Boots, WHSmith and Matalan will shut stores this month.
Boots
Health and beauty chain Boots has closed several stores in recent months and more are to follow in February.
This comes as part of a restructuring that will see around 300 locations stop trading for good.

WHSmith
WHSmith will close its store on George Street in Oban on February 17.
In December it was announced the store on Pool Street in Caernarfon would close this month. However, recent reports state discussions are taking place which could stop this from shutting so soon.
Matalan
The fashion retailer will close its store in The Core Shopping Centre in Leeds this month.
The branch will shut its doors for good on Saturday, February 24.
A spokesperson said: "We are working closely with our affected colleagues and doing all we can to find suitable positions in our local store network.
“Customers in the area will still be able to access our full range of products via our website.”

Lidl
Supermarket giant Lidl has confirmed two stores will close this month.
However, shoppers will not miss out as they can visit nearby locations. Lidl has also shared plans to open 1,100 stores by the end of next year.

Costa Coffee
Costa will close some locations as it focuses on its drive-thru sites.
Coffee fans will be able to visit one of these new locations or branches near to the ones that have shut.
