Our skin inevitably changes with age due to a depletion in collagen, elastin and sebum levels.
Consequently, the skin takes on a saggy, more wrinkled and dry appearance over time.
However, while these changes are natural and unavoidable to some extent, it's possible to slow down and reduce the signs of ageing with the right tricks.
A woman in her 70s shared her secret to a beautiful complexion in her mature years, telling women that moisturiser is her best friend.

TikTok creator Dr Joyce Dermatologist introduced her mother-in-law, who is 72 and boasts a youthful complexion.
She said: "Everybody asks about her top skin care tips, given that she has amazing skin."
The skin-savvy septuagenarian said: "I had dry skin ever since I was a little girl, so I moisturise, moisturise, moisturise - that's the whole goal."
Moisturising is an essential skin care step that draws in moisture and retains it in the skin.
The 72-year-old shared that in addition to her face, she moisturises her hands every time she washes them.
Our hands often give the game away when it comes to our age, with tell-tale signs such as wrinkles or a crepey appearance, loose skin, prominent veins and age spots.
While moisturising the hands can't reverse all these skin concerns, it works by trapping water in our skin, which gives it a more youthful appearance.
Moisturiser is certainly hailed by skin care experts as an anti-ageing champion. It even helped one woman stay youthful in her 90s.
