Women told to 'cut out' drink that speeds up ageing, dehydrates the skin and makes you look 'dull'

Alcohol consumption could be the cause of your lacklustre complexion
Maintaining an excellent skin care regime is essential for a gorgeous glow. However, no amount of skin-boosting products can outweigh a poor lifestyle.
An expert spoke exclusively to GB News about how women can achieve "the best skin of their life" by staying hydrated, maintaining a healthy diet, sleeping well and reducing their stress levels.
Ensuring that your skin is adequately hydrated has a myriad of benefits. According to the experts at Nivea, it can boost elasticity, prevent wrinkles and promote vibrance - all leading to an improved complexion. It can also balance the skin's oil levels and rebuild the skin's natural moisture barrier.
Speaking exclusively to GB News, esthetician Judit Galambosi from JE'DERM skin atelier told women "not to underestimate the power" of hydration.

This can be achieved by choosing mild showers over scorchers, avoiding abrasive cleansers, and investing in hydrating products such as face masks.
However, the easiest way to maintain hydration is to drink plenty of water - you might even want to add two skin-boosting ingredients to it.
In a similar vein, Judit also warned ladies to avoid alcohol, which is a diuretic. Diuretics increase urine production, which can heighten a person's risk of dehydration.
Indeed, the expert advised GB News readers: "Drink water throughout the day to keep your skin plump and glowing.
"Cutting back on alcohol helps prevent dehydration and inflammation, both of which can make skin look dull and accelerate ageing."
Limiting your alcohol consumption could therefore keep you looking younger for longer.
According to the skin experts at Nivea, your food choices can also help with hydration. They stated: "Some foods can help to improve your skin and keep it hydrated.
"Fish, such as salmon and tuna, are rich in fatty acids, which are important in strengthening the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
"Other alternatives such as walnuts provide the same fatty acids. Fruit and vegetables are also bursting with hydration, so make sure you're getting your five a day."
Judit agrees that ladies should "nourish" their skin from within. She told women: "Your diet plays a big role in how your skin looks and feels.
