Even the most avid skin care enthusiasts may neglect their feet, causing significant cumulative damage over time.

Foot care is particularly challenging due to the structure of the feet, which leaves heels prone to dryness.

But a skin care enthusiast who goes by Bellalure on TikTok shared simple steps to maintain “pretty” soles and heels.

She hailed a peeling solution consisting of BHA and AHA as one of the best products for achieving ultimate softness.

“I’m going to show you how to get pretty feet,” she told viewers.

“Once a week, I use The Ordinary peeling product on the bottoms of my feet. It makes them instantly baby smooth.

“Just make sure you don’t overdo it, 10 to 15 minutes max. After you wash it off, you always need to moisturise.”

The skin care fan said she uses products she didn’t like for my face, or Vaseline.

“If you’d rather not use a peel, you can use a leave-on treatment like glycolic acid,” she continued.

“Trust me when I tell you, invest in a pair of silicone socks. “For maintenance, urea cream is amazing. Try to get regular pedicures and definitely get yourself a pumice stone.”

Glycolic acid is widely promoted by aestheticians as an excellent treatment for promoting soft feet.

The product is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), which works by exfoliating the skin and removing dead cells.

Over time, this reveals smoother and softer skin underneath.

People can use the product up to three times a week to enjoy results similar to those of more intense exfoliations, like a peel.

The peeling solution mentioned in the video contains BHA, or beta-hydroxy acid, which also helps break down dead skin cells.

Unlike AHAs, which work on the surface of the skin, BHAs are oil-soluble and can therefore penetrate deeper into the pores.
