The award-winning actress lives with her husband and fellow actor Jim Carter in one of London’s most sought-after areas; West Hampstead.

NetflixThe area's high street, West End Lane, is fringed with a wide range of patisseries, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes.
"Popular with a wide range of families and professionals, there is a fine selection of bars and gastropubs, offering a lively nightlife," adds Urban Spaces.
According to Rightmove, "properties in West Hampstead had an overall average price of £1,047,531 over the last year".
The property website states that the majority of sales in the area are flats, selling from an average price of £751,681.
"Terraced properties sold for an average of £1,908,404, with semi-detached properties fetching £2,779,583," it added.
One of the biggest attractions in the area is the Heath, which has inspired countless books and poems.
Spanning 790 acres, the park is home to the beautiful landscapes of Hill Garden and large woodlands.
It is not the only green space available to locals, however.
West Hampstead Central states that an abundance of nature throughout the area "provides a complete contrast to the urban environment, with woods and meadows to ramble through, and the famous swimming ponds for a bracing dip".
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
It is well known that the area is home to its fair share of celebrities, including Emma Thompson and Stephen Fry.
Thompson's family home is famously located on the same street she grew up on and across the road from her 91-year-old mother’s abode, actress Phyllida Law.
West Hampstead is renowned for its unparalleled serenity, but in September 2023, Thompson joined other A-list celebs in a battle against plans for a "Malibu mansion" in the area.
The group condemned a redevelopment proposal, arguing it would be "very damaging" and "completely out of character" for the neighbourhood.
