'Stop using immediately!' Marks & Spencer urgently pulls children's product from shelves with choking risk

The affected batches were sold between April 2022 and November 2023.

This comes as Tesco recalled the same learning doll, also warning customers of its risks.

Manufacturer Just Play Products wrote: "Please be aware that we are recalling the CocoMelon JJ Interactive Learning Doll due to the following manufacturing defect.

"If a child presses the sewn seams of the doll with sufficient force, the seams could give way making it possible for the child to access the stuffing material inside.

"If removed, this stuffing material could present a choking hazard."

Anyone who owns the learning doll has been told to "stop using it immediately" and return it to the store where they will get a full refund.

Marks & Spencer has an ongoing warning for customers who bought chicken from its stores earlier this year.

Four meat items including chicken slices and chicken fillets sold in stores were found to have a potential risk to health if consumed.

While the products' use-by dates were in March, they were freezable so customers are encouraged to check if they still have them.

M&S stated: "Customer safety is of paramount importance to Marks & Spencer, and we take all issues regarding the production of our foods extremely seriously.

"Marks & Spencer is taking the precautionary action of highlighting that four fresh cooked poultry products that are past their use-by date, but may be in customers' freezers, should be returned to store due to a low microbiological risk.

"Only the date codes shown below are potentially impacted. No products currently on sale are affected."
