An alert has been issued to Marks & Spencer shoppers who have purchased specific baby clothing items.
The retailer recently told customers that three items sold in stores and online pose a safety risk to little ones.
Various Marks & Spencer Fisherman coats were therefore recalled, with Marks & Spencer sharing that they did not meet the supermarket's "strict specifications". The affected products have been sold since January 9, 2025.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has provided further information for affected shoppers, with precise details about the nature of the risk. In a fresh update, Britons were warned that the affected products "present a risk of suffocation".

The OPSS explained: "If a baby is placed inside a hooded product and left unattended, the baby's natural movement may cause the hood to cover the head and face."
"This may lead to suffocation," the warning continued.
Officials confirmed the product "does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005".
Affected customers were advised to "stop using them immediately" and return them to their nearest store for a full refund.
