'Stop using it immediately!' Shopper warning as three electric blankets pose burning risk - 'could catch fire'

Britons have been warned about a number of electric blankets sold in the UK which have been deemed unsafe to use.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) said that Hamilton McBride Single, Double and King Size Electric Blankets pose a fire risk.

'The products do not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016'
OPSS
The OPSS stated: "The heating element in the blankets can overheat. This could result in the blanket catching fire or burning users.
"The products do not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
"The products have been recalled from end users. Customers are asked to stop using this product immediately and return it to their nearest store, where a full refund will be given.

Affected customers can call from 9am to 5pm between Monday and Thursday and 8:45am until 4pm on Fridays.
