Britons have been informed that two Christmas candles have been recalled due to them imposing a fire risk.

The candles present a serious fire risk when they are extinguished with the wick continuing to glow and smoke, potentially leading it to re-ignite.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) alerted Britons of the recalled candles.

It said both products do not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
