Belkin BoostCharge Pro Fast Wireless Charger for Apple Watch + Power Bank 10K has been recalled

Britons have been issued a fresh warning as the Belkin BoostCharge Pro Fast Wireless Charger for Apple Watch + Power Bank could be unsafe to use. The item is not produced by Apple, but is compatible with Apple products.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) told affected users that the product presents a fire risk.

The OPSS stated: "It has been identified that in some circumstances, a manufacturing defect can cause the portable wireless battery charger’s lithium cell component to overheat, which could pose a fire hazard to consumers.

"The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. The product has been recalled from end users.

"Affected consumers are advised to disconnect the product from any power supply or other products and contact Belkin for further instructions.
