Argos has urgently recalled a children's toy as it poses a risk of fire. Britons who have purchased the Range Rover Evoque Ride On Toy 12V Pink sold by Argos (2408-0076) should stop using the product immediately.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) warned Argos customers that it "presents a serious risk of fire".


The OPSS said: "The affected batch presents a serious risk of fire as they may have been produced without a fuse.

"Under fault conditions, this could lead to the product overheating, smoking and igniting, causing a fire. The product has been recalled from end users."

Product Description: An electric pink ride on car with black seats, steering wheel and wheels. Affected products were purchased between December 16, 2023 and April 24, 2024.

Britons were warned: "The affected products present a serious risk of fire as it has been identified that a number of products may have been produced without a fuse.

"This could result in a short circuit of the wiring, potentially melting the wires and causing smoke or a fire.

"The affected products do not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

"Affected consumers are advised to stop using the toy immediately, check if you have an affected batch and if so, return it to your nearest store.

Multiple products have been recalled from Amazon

Britons were advised: "For further information, please access the Argos recall site at the following link: https://www.argos.co.uk/events/safety-product-recalls."

This comes as shoppers were warned that multiple Amazon products could catch fire, with customers told to "stop using them immediately".

Affected customers were warned: "The product presents a risk of fire as the lithium-ion battery may overheat, causing the product to ignite."
