The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) said: "The product presents a risk of injuries as it has been identified that a gap may appear between the handle and the seat shell, usually on one side.

"In certain circumstances, the handle may become loose or detach on one side, causing the car seat to move unexpectedly.

"The affected products do not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. The product has been recalled from end users.
