The OPPS warned affected customers: "The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as there is direct access to live parts due to a lack of shutters on the pin engagement ports.
"Additionally, the live and neutral pins are too close to the edge of the adaptor, which could allow the consumer to touch the live pin when energised.
"The product also presents a risk of fire, as it is supplied with an incorrect fuse, which could cause the adapter to overheat.
"The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
"We recommend owners stop using this product immediately. Contact the distributor you purchased from to request redress.
