The dinosaur toy poses a 'serious choking risk'

OPSS

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) identified the toy as failing to meet required safety standards.

The toy features a small removable bone designed to be placed in the dinosaur's mouth.

This detachable part poses a "serious choking risk" for children who might put it in their mouths.

Compounding the danger, the toy also lacks the appropriate warning labels required by safety regulations.

Without proper labelling, the toy could easily be given to children under 36 months old.

Officials confirmed that "the import has been rejected at the border."

However, anyone who may have gotten hold of the product should stop using it immediately and ensure it is out of reach of children.

This comes as various items sold on Amazon pose risks of fire, choking and electric shock.

Product recalls must be taken seriously to ensure shopper safety.

Britons have been warned that a baby product sold in Boots could pose a "hazard".

A free repair kit will be provided to affected customers to fix the affected item.
