Marks & Spencer will open nine stores this month

Marks & Spencer has opened and closed branches this year as it shakes up its retail space.

It will open nine stores in November in what will be the biggest month of openings for the retailer.

This includes new Full Line stores, new Foodhalls and Store Renewals.

The first store opens tomorrow in Birmingham, with more following later this week and into next week.

The Store Renewal branches are relocations of branches that have recently closed.

"Increasing numbers of customers are heading back into stores to experience the best of M&S all under one roof, supported by outstanding service from our colleagues, and we expect this to continue as we head into Christmas.

"To deliver our biggest ever store opening month which supports thousands of jobs is an outstanding effort from the team and shows just how serious we are about accelerating our rotation plans so we are in the right locations for our customers.”

This comes as M&S shared the latest update in stores to help more shoppers recycle.

It is rolling out new coffee cups that are made from paper fibre and are fully recyclable.
