'No way!' Marks & Spencer shoppers go wild as they spot new Colin the Caterpillar item in stores

A new Colin the Caterpillar Pet Toy was spotted in stores and it takes the shape of the traditional cake.

Customers saw the product on social media and shared their excitement.

Many people tagged their loved ones on Facebook and said they needed to get it for their pets. One wrote, "the dogs would like this", and another agreed, writing, "the boys need one".

A shopper excitedly added, "no way!", another said, "how cute" and one more penned, "I need this for myself".

Another joked: "I don't want the toy, give me the cake!" One shopper quipped that, unlike the cake, it will "never go out for date".

Earlier this month, the retail giant delighted fans as it launched a new range of household staples.

It has also brought out new luxury cakes in Pistachio & Raspberry, Chocolate & Hazelnut, Sicilian Lemon & Blackberry and Brown Sugar & Salted Caramel.

The supermarket giant wrote on Instagram: "New in the M&S Foodhall – a slice of heaven at a very unexpected price tag.

"These are not eye-wateringly expensive artisan cakes from that fancy patisserie you follow on Instagram… These are new hand-decorated M&S Collection cakes, available in the Foodhall for only £20 each. Yep, you read that right.
