Lidl issues urgent recall warning for a children's toy with a serious injury risk

Shoppers should check to see if they have the affected Lidl products

Lidl has recalled a children's toy as it could pose a risk to safety.

The supermarket chain also has an ongoing recall for mayonnaise.


Food and product recalls are not often issued but they should be taken seriously.

Lidl has shared a warning for its Playtive 3-in-1 Swing.

Some batches of the product have a fault which means they can tilt and potentially be dangerous.

A Lidl statement read: "Lidl GB is recalling the above-mentioned product due to a manufacturing fault. The swing seat could tilt when in use which may cause injury.

"If you have bought the above product, we advise you to stop using it."

All stock with IAN code 388000_2104 is affected and this number can be found on the back of the backrest.

Anyone who has bought this product can return it to stores for a full refund.

No other Playtive products in Lidl GB stores are impacted by the recall.

The budget supermarket also has an ongoing recall for a mayonnaise product due to the possible contamination of listeria monocytogenes.

A recall warning was issued for Potts' Truffle mayonnaise, in the pack size 230g.

Stock with the best before date of July 2024 and batch code 18823 is known to be affected.

A statement said: "Our supplier, Potts Partnership Ltd is recalling the above-mentioned product due to potential contamination of the product with listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes can trigger severe gastrointestinal conditions and symptoms similar to the flu.

"If you have bought the above product we advise you not to eat it."

Customers are asked to return this product to the nearest store where a full refund will be given.

The recall does not affect all stores and shoppers are urged to speak to customer services to check if their local store is included.
