John Lewis has shared its 2023 Christmas advert and shoppers are already sharing their verdicts

John Lewis unveiled its Christmas advert today which signals the start of the festivities for many.

It follows a boy named Alfie who plants his own Christmas tree.

Rather than a Christmas tree growing, it turns into a Venus flytrap.

The advert shares the message of "new traditions" as Alfie's family embraces the new plant instead of a Christmas tree.
