While many believe that thick and luscious hair is purely genetics, there are ways women can naturally support hair growth.
One expert recommended five ways for women to combat female pattern hair loss, focusing on using the right ingredients.
Celebrity hair stylist Adem Oygur explained hazelnut oil is a good tool for hair growth as it is rich in fatty acids and vitamin E, which "nourishes the scalp and strengthens hair follicles".
Adem recommended: "Warm a few drops of pure oil and massage it into your scalp for five to ten minutes before washing, or use shampoo and conditioner containing hazelnut oil."
Women have been advised to use rosemary with coconut oil
GETTYMassaging your hair and scalp with rosemary oil "can be as effective as minoxidil for hair growth", the celebrity hairstylist claimed.
A trial published in the National Library of Medicine said: "The findings of the present trial provided evidence with respect to the efficacy of rosemary oil in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia."
Adem added: "Mix a few drops of rosemary oil with a carrier oil (like coconut oil) and massage into your scalp two to three times a week."
Aside from using oils on your hair, a nutrient-rich diet helps grow "stronger and fuller hair".
The expert said: "Hair health starts from within. Boost your intake of biotin, zinc, iron, and omega-3 fatty acids, found in foods like eggs, nuts, salmon and leafy greens."
Another option is rinsing your hair with fermented rice water, as it is "packed with amino acids and inositol, which strengthens hair and reduces breakages".
Adem suggested: "Rinse your hair with rice water after shampooing and let it sit for five to ten minutes before rinsing."
When styling your hair, try to avoid "harsh stylings" and putting heat on your scalp.

The expert advised not to use heat when styling your hair
GETTYThe hairstylist said: "Frequent heat styling, tight hairstyles, and chemical treatments weaken hair, leading to shedding. Opt for air-drying, loose hairstyles and sulphate-free shampoos."
Knowing the number of times to wash your hair is very important to "encourage strong, healthy growth".
A hair expert spoke exclusively to GB News on the matter and said: "It's perfectly fine to wash daily, especially if you use a lot of product, have excessive oil or use scalp concealers.
"We advise our patients to wash their hair at least every other day to keep their scalp clean and promote healthy hair growth."
