Fiona Lambert transformed her lifestyle and lost 11lb before turning 60

Improving fitness and losing weight is not easy at any age, but it can become particularly difficult as we age.

Leading businesswoman Fiona Lambert, 60, has shared her exclusive advice with GB News on achieving and maintaining results.

She began her transformation with a focused diet plan, where she cut out dairy, alcohol and sugar and exercised regularly.

Since first toning up earlier this year, Fiona has managed to maintain results with a tailored version of her original diet and with short workouts throughout the week.

She explained how to stay motivated and achieve incredible results at any age.

Have a purpose

Fiona said: "You've got to have a purpose that really motivates you. And just being envious of somebody else's social media is not a good enough purpose.

"I think that is a big part of what made a difference for me.

"I really had lots of reasons besides turning 60 that made me stick to what I was doing, and I think that's why a lot of people start and fail.

"It is that they haven't got a purpose that really drives them and they can keep going back to it going 'I'm not going to fail at this because this is my purpose'."

Be patient

"I think people are looking for a quick fix. There is no quick fix," Fiona continued.

"In 21 days you can create a habit. If you keep it up for 90 days you create a lifestyle.

"If you want to change, you've got to be able to persevere."

Get everything in line

Fiona spoke on the importance of getting a balance between nutrition, exercise and treatments.

She added: "It is a combination of different things. You can't exercise your way out of a bad diet.

"[Think of] investing in things like GELIDA treatments that help the things that you can't help."

GELIDA is a wellness and aesthetic company which offers treatments such as skin tightening.

Fiona used the GELIDA Waves21 and GELIDA IOS21 treatments, which use a device to fat freeze, targeting visceral fat.
