Bar soap and body moisturiser have no place in a woman's facial skin care routine, according to an expert
Having the right skin care knowledge is imperative for women who want to look their best. The right products can work wonders, while the wrong products can take your skin from dreamy to drab.
Dr Anthony Youn - also known as America's Holistic Plastic Surgeon - shared the products women should never use on their faces.
The expert said: "You may be surprised that there are certain things you may think are good for your face, but are just not.

"I help health-conscious women over 30 look their best by teaching them a holistic approach to health and beauty."
According to Dr Youn, women should steer clear of using bar soap on their faces. He said: "Bar soap is not good to wash your face with.
"Bar soap is very drying to your skin and it often contains sodium lauryl sulfate. This is the substance that causes the soap to lather really well - because we like lathering, don't we?
"Well, unfortunately, that same lathering substance can really, really dry your skin."
The expert advised that if you're going to use bar soap, stick to your body and find a cleanser specifically designed for the face.
And dry skin could mean aged skin, according to the experts. SkinBase said that "one of the biggest factors for making your skin look older is it being dry or dehydrated".
In a similar vein, Dr Youn advised that women over 30 steer clear of moisturisers that are intended for the body rather than the face.
Using body moisturiser on the face can clog your pores and cause you to break out, the doctor warned.
Using it on the rest of the body is fine as long as the product does not contain harmful ingredients. Dr Youn concluded: "With your face, stick to a good facial moisturiser."
Another one of Dr Youn's tips is to invest in a specific anti-ageing product. The plastic surgeon shared how women can look 10 years younger with a skin care item that will blow your mind.

For women who are concerned with their ageing necks, the expert shared how women can lift and tighten this "droopy" area without going under the knife.
Dr Youn also told women over 30 to avoid using petroleum jelly on the face - and ideally the whole body.
He explained that this can clog pores and can aggravate acne for those who have a history of it. The expert advised that beeswax is a better alternative to petroleum.
