There are many ways to prevent skin from ageing. Varying from using the correct products to eating the right foods.
A doctor spoke exclusively to GB News and shared one ingredient women should use every day.
Skin care professional, Dr Ed Robinson said: "Protect the skin with SPF daily. It is the single best investment you can make for anti-ageing."
SPF should be applied in the morning and the doctor advised using three finger lengths to cover the face and neck.
SPF should be applied daily, every single morning the expert recommended
GETTYDr Robinson said: "The majority of the changes to the skin we see with the ageing process are driven by DNA damage. For example, caused by ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun.
"UV is present all year round, not just in the summer, so if you're concerned about ageing, you should wear broad spectrum SPF 30+ every day."
UV radiation damages the collagen, breaking down the skin's firmness and causing wrinkles and saggy skin.
It leads to photoaging, which is premature skin ageing leading to a loss of tone, elasticity and uneven skin texture.
In an article published by the National Library of Medicine, experts said: "A broad-spectrum tinted sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or over, used daily will offer protection against UV radiation and visible light to reduce their effects on photoaging."
As well as SPF in the morning, use a gentle cleanser, which does not make your face feel tight after application.
Dr Robinson said: "Exfoliate three times per week max, with ingredients like glycolic acid and salicylic acid. Moisturise with ingredients like niacinamide and ceramides, ideally one which is non-occlusive."
When applying, only use a pea-size lump of each of the products.

GETTYTo prevent the loss of collagen, add a product containing retinoids to your routine.
Retinoids reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It evens skin tone and helps unclog pores.
Dr Robinson said: "A retinoid is a solid evidence-based active that slows the ageing process by encouraging cellular renewal and promotes collagen stimulation.
"I advise people not to follow fads and trends with skin care, but to follow the evidence. Skin care shouldn't be complicated, but it does need to be tailored to your skin type. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to skin."
