Vitamin A could be crucial for maintaining smooth, youthful skin after 70
As individuals approach their fifties, many seek effective anti-ageing treatments. Among the myriad options available, retinol, a vitamin A derivative, stands out for its remarkable efficacy.
A recent viral clip showcased a 71-year-old woman with a surprisingly youthful appearance, who attributed her fresh-faced look to her use of retinol.
Britanny Allyn invited her aunt Pamela to share her skin care hacks on her channel, where she was flooded with compliments about her youthful looks. One viewer wrote in the comments: "People think my 71-year-old aunt is in her 50s."
Introducing her aunt, Britanny said: “I am 36 and I have learnt from the best, my aunt Pam.

Pamela followed: “I wake up in the morning and splash warm water on my face, grab a towel and dab."
She stressed that cleansing the skin exclusively at night is a good way to keep the natural oils intact and that this will eventually prevent wrinkles.
“I immediately put on lotion with retinol,” the skin care fan noted, adding that she started the habit in her mid-thirties.
She applies the vitamin A derivative to the forehead, chest and around the mouth and eyes to promote skin cell turnover.
Sometimes Pamela applies extra product around the lips and eyes because these areas are most prone to wrinkling.
“At first if you use retinol it may seem a little harsh for your skin, but it takes a week or two for your skin to finally get used to it,” she told viewers.
Brittany pointed out that her aunt doesn’t use a prescription-strength retinol product like tretinoin, but a milder version of retinol.
“It’s a little bit less strong but it’s still over the counter and has worked miracles for her,” she added.
