A good moisturising routine is key if you want to look younger than your years
The ageing of the skin is inevitable; as we get older we start to notice thinning and a loss of elasticity, which results in sagging, wrinkles and fine lines, plus a rougher texture.
But while these changes are normal and nothing to be ashamed of, many women would like to stop the clock on their skin's age. According to an expert, this can be achieved with a key anti-ageing product. She suggested this could make you look younger, even until your 90s.
GP and aesthetic, hair and skin specialist Dr Keyana Emamian from Este Medical Group spoke exclusively to GB News about the importance of moisturiser, calling it her top anti-ageing hack.
Asked how we can "slow down the ageing process", Dr Keyana stated: "My number one anti-ageing tip that you can do at home is to maintain a good moisturising routine.

"Moisturising your skin is essential each day to maintain its protective barrier to reduce water loss and keep pollutants out, and it’s a very important part of my own routine.
"In fact, my grandmother had flawless skin all her life until she died at age 90 and the only thing she had done all her life was apply Vaseline."
Vaseline's official website reads: "We want to keep all skin healthy. That’s why we offer superior products for moisturisation and have formulations for specific skin concerns and needs. We aim to rescue dry skin to its best healthy self."
The expert continued: "Ensuring our skin is properly hydrated can go a long way to slowing down the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and giving us a more youthful complexion.
"It’s important to moisturise twice a day - in the morning and in the evening - and use a product that suits your skin type.
"This is important to maintain the skin’s protective barrier to keep pollutants out and lock moisture in."
Other ways to keep the skin rejuvenated and youthful include being diligent with skin care products and taking care of your complexion from the inside out.
Dr Keyana said: "There are a number of genetic, lifestyle and environmental factors that contribute to how our skin ages, and different skin types have different requirements.
