Improving your posture could be the secret to looking younger
The natural ageing process, coupled with poor lifestyle habits, can result in a saggy jawline and wrinkled face and neck. And while this is totally normal, many women find them unsightly.
While there are procedures out there to improve the appearance of these body parts and make them look younger, there are also things women can do at home for free.
A new study by face yoga app Luvly and posture apparel company Etalon found a link between poor posture and premature ageing.
Their research found that 88 per cent of women with posture issues notice jawline skin sagging (64 per cent) face wrinkles (57 per cent) and lines on their shoulders and neck (39 per cent).

The experts explained that these findings highlight "the incredible impact of posture on skin health and appearance, emphasising the importance of maintaining good posture for a radiant, youthful complexion".
Jillian Osborne from Fresh Face Pilates Ltd at Luvly said: "Posture affects all aspects of wellbeing so it’s no wonder that how we carry ourselves in our daily activities - and rest - would affect the appearance of the face.
"Most of us are scrolling over our phones, heads down and wreaking havoc on our spine. In this instance, the weight of the head increases exponentially, pulling us further and further forward into kyphosis.
"This, in turn, stretches and lengthens lines of the face, such as nasolabial folds, jowls, and necklines."
One way to combat this is through Pilates. Pilates instructor and CEO of Etalon Kristina Rudzinskaya shared a four-minute routine to improve posture and consequently get rid of neck lines, sagging skin and a double chin in just four moves.
Shoulder rolls
Roll your shoulders up and back as you shift your head back. This keeps muscles moving and repositions your body in a healthful way. Hold for 15-30 seconds and repeat three to five times.
Shoulder Shrugs
Shoulder shrugs are an easy exercise to help release tension in the neck and shoulders. To perform, sit or stand with your back straight, then lift your shoulders towards your ears, hold the position for three to five seconds, and then slowly lower them back down.
Repeat this movement 10 to 15 times to improve shoulder mobility and reduce stress, making it especially useful for those who experience tightness from prolonged sitting or computer work.
Chin tucks
Start standing or sitting with your spine straight. Draw your head straight back like you're making a double chin. In this position, you offset the effects of constantly thrusting your head forward.
Make sure not to tilt your head back when doing this. Keep your chin tucked in, but still parallel to the floor. Hold for five seconds and release. Then repeat.

Chin to Chest Stretch
This is a simple exercise to relieve tension in the neck and upper back. To perform, sit or stand with a straight back and gently lower your chin towards your chest, holding the stretch for 15 to 30 seconds while breathing deeply.
Repeat this stretch three to five times to enhance flexibility and alleviate neck strain, especially beneficial for individuals who spend prolonged periods working at a desk.
Another way women can improve their appearance and look younger is to change up their hair. Women have been urged try a haircut that can make them feel decades younger.
