The quest for a youthful appearance remains a top priority for many women, with skincare playing a crucial role in achieving this goal.
Maintaining proper skin preparation is one of the key aspects of looking younger, making sure your skin is well-hydrated and moisturised to smooth out fine lines.
Makeup artist Milena, who co-runs makeup brand Be at One said: "Healthy, glowing skin is key to a youthful look. Hydrate and moisturise before applying makeup to smooth out fine lines and create a plump, healthy base."
She opted for people to go for lightweight, dewy foundations or BB creams that provide coverage without appearing heavy.
Dark circles can significantly age the face, but Milena advised using a creamy, hydrating concealer to brighten the under-eye area.
She said: "When applying foundation, use a damp makeup sponge to press the product into the skin rather than rubbing it in.
"This will prevent product from sitting in fine lines. Build up coverage gradually if necessary, rather than applying one heavy layer.
"Too much product can settle into wrinkles and emphasise them."
As women age, thinning and drooping brows can become a concern. Milena advised the use of brow pencils to restore fullness.
She said: "Avoid heavy contouring, which can create shadows that make the face look older.
"Instead, opt for a soft blush applied on the apples of the cheeks."
Women can also use cream blushes which are preferred for their seamless blending properties and ability to create a natural, youthful flush.

For the lips, Milena suggested using gloss or hydrating lipstick to add volume and smoothness.
She recommended: "Avoid matte lipsticks, which can make lips look drier and accentuate wrinkles. A lip liner can also help define the lips and prevent lipstick from bleeding."
Women over 40 were recently told of a concealer mistake they often make.
