Over time, the skin naturally shows signs of dryness, fine lines, and decreased firmness, and these changes should be embraced. Maximising hydration, however, can benefit the skin at all stages of life.
Arantha, a skin care enthusiast, claims she achieved the skin of her dreams after following the highly acclaimed Mixon Method.
This technique, advocated by TikToker Ashley Mixon, emphasises layering with several different toners.
“For almost two years now, I have been following a skin care method that has completely transformed my skin," said Arantha. “If you like that glass-skin look if you want that glowy look.

“I’ve been religiously following this method for almost two years, and I’m truly blown away by how it has changed the quality and texture of my skin.”
The 40-year-old, who lives in New Mexico - an area known for its “bone-dry weather” - says the environment makes skin care particularly challenging.
To maximise skin hydration, Arantha begins by double-cleansing her face.
“Double-cleansing is so important," she explained. “I’ve started doing it morning and night.”
The practice involves cleansing once with an oil-based cleanser and then following with a water-based one.
This essentially benefits the skin by thoroughly removing impurities, including makeup and sunscreen, and by enhancing the absorption of subsequent products.
The next step, which is arguably the most excessive part of the routine, involves several applications of toner and essence, layering the products from thinnest to thickest.
“Everything you do to your face, you should also do to your neck and chest,” Arantha explained.

Hydration is key for glass-like skin
GETTYThough this approach may be considered excessive, it delivers results - and can be adapted to different skin care budgets, she noted.
“My skin feels so smooth,” she declared, admitting she has also been getting Botox on her forehead for several years.
The final step of Arantha's routine is tretinoin, a prescription-strength retinoid that increases cell turnover.
Although it’s typically ill-advised to apply tretinoin to damp skin, that’s exactly what Arantha does, following Mixon’s recommendation.
The product achieves these results thanks to a vitamin A derivative that boosts collagen levels and helps maintain skin elasticity and is recommended by many skin care enthusiasts.
