Britons shouldn't skip one skin care product if they want a glowing complexion
Anti-ageing is a hot topic, with many products on the market promising to improve the skin's appearance.
Speaking exclusively to GB News, leading aesthetics and skin care expert and co-founder of The Ardour Clinic Dr Paris Acharya shared the importance of using eye cream.
Eye creams are often overlooked but can prove useful for reducing black circles and bags and minimising the appearance of wrinkles.
The doctor said focusing on the eye area is a "vital" part of an anti-ageing skin care routine.
An expert shared that eye cream is a must
GETTYThe expert said: "It's extremely important to use an eye cream, both morning and night.
"The skin around your eyes is extremely delicate so it is vital that we look after our eyes properly to achieve youthful, younger skin. I particularly like the new Firming Eye Cream from ALLSKIN|MED."
Dr Acharya explained there is a best technique for this as well, and recommended applying eye creams with your ring finger.
She continued: "Remember to always apply your eye cream with your fourth finger as this is the most delicate finger and gently pat the cream in a circular motion around the eye, covering the eyelid and the undereye.
"This will ensure that the entire area is covered while also encouraging an eye lift with the application motion."
Another tool for "reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles" is looking for growth factors in skin care.
The doctor said: "Growth factors are natural substances such as proteins made by the skin cells that regulate cell growth to help repair damaged skin that has occurred as a result of ageing, sun damage or other environmental factors.
"They play a vital role in maintaining healthy skin structure and function and promote the formation of collagen to provide firmness and elasticity.
"When it comes to growth factors in cosmetics and skin care, the idea is that you’re taking these growth factors that are naturally produced by the body and applying them to your skin which will trick your skin into thinking that it is young and healthy and it will therefore regenerate and repair itself.

A good skin care regime will help skin appear more youthful

"Therefore one of the most effective ways of helping to support the levels of skin rejuvenation is to use skin care products with a high concentration of growth factors every day.
"This is known to significantly refresh the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines, and wrinkles and improve skin discolouration and texture.
"When it comes to growth factors, I always recommend the ALLSKIN|MED products as they contain exclusive growth factors (SCA-PRO®) that can reshape the dermis, enhancing the results of traditional anti-ageing treatments."
