Collagen is a protein produced within the body, but natural supplies start to dwindle with age.
Speaking exclusively to GB News, an expert explained how to boost this, including the best foods to stock up on.
Nutritional health coach and co-founder of Sixways Georgi Grogan explained fish, foods high in vitamin C and nuts are some of the best for getting results.
She said: "While collagen production begins to decline from the age of 25, there are a number of things that you can do to help support your body's natural collagen production, as well as foods to avoid to slow down this process and keep fine lines at bay.

"Fish is considered one of the best sources of collagen primarily because it contains a type of collagen known as marine collagen.
"Marine collagen is derived from the skin, scales and bones of fish and is highly bioavailable, meaning it is easily absorbed and utilised by the body.
"Marine collagen derived from fish is rich in specific amino acids which are essential for collagen synthesis in the body. These amino acids play a crucial role in maintaining skin elasticity, hydration, and overall skin health.
"Vitamin C, found in oranges, grapefruits and lemons is essential for collagen production, helping skin repair itself and stay firm."
Collagen, which can also be consumed as a powder or liquid supplement, has been shown to reduce hair loss, promote healthier nails and improve skin elasticity. Some studies have found this can lead to fewer visible wrinkles.
If looking to supercharge your meals, consider adding berries or nuts to salads or yoghurts, or you can snack on these foods. Georgi continued: "Incorporating berries into your diet can help to support healthy skin and boost collagen production.
"They're packed with antioxidants and vitamin C, which helps to protect collagen from damage while supporting its synthesis. If you're looking for a way to boost your breakfast or lunches, nuts and seeds are the perfect addition to smoothies, oats and salads.
"Almonds and walnuts provide zinc, copper and other minerals that help to aid collagen formation, encourage hair growth and support glowing skin from within."
Experts at the Cleveland Clinic discussed the benefits of supplements and a healthy diet for good collagen production.
