For better hair, experts advised upping your protein intake, incorporating foods like poultry, fish and eggs into your diet
When it comes to hair health, all the products in the world won't make up for a bad diet.
An expert urged women to stock up on protein-rich foods if they want to grow their hair.
Certified Trichologist Rachel Valentine shared a hack for thick, luscious, long locks on TikTok
She said: "If you're trying to grow your hair, you must understand that what you eat and what you have in your diet is vital for good hair growth."

She stressed the importance of getting enough protein. The expert explained that our hair is attached to our blood supply via our scalp, which is where it gets most of its nutrients.
Rachel added that the hair is around 90 per cent made up of proteins, which is why it is "so important" that people are getting enough of it in their diets.
Some of the best protein sources to include in your daily meals include beans, peas and lentils, nuts and seeds, lean meats, fish, dairy products and soy products.
Protein has added benefits - it's not only great for your hair but your waistline too. Women in their 40s and 50s can shed fat by incorporating the food group into "every single meal and snack".
Fellow trichologist Taylor Rose stressed the importance of a protein-rich diet for healthy hair for those who are looking to regrow their locks.
She said: "It's extremely important that you eat enough protein in your diet - but not just any protein."
The expert shared that the three classifications of protein are complete proteins, partially complete proteins and incomplete proteins.
She said: "Complete proteins are the ones that you need to be eating if you want your hair to regrow."
The "top" choices are animal meats like beef, poultry and pork, fish, milk and eggs, quinoa and chia seeds and hemp seeds.
The expert recommended that women track their protein intake. She said that a good rule of thumb is to eat one gram of protein for every two pounds of body weight. This means that someone who weighs 140 pounds should eat 70 grams of protein per day.
