The hair care enthusiast noticed a difference soon after tweaking her lifestyle
Hair care encompasses many practices, but they often call for high-quality products that cost mammoth sums.
Though these cosmetics can do wonders for our tresses, the biggest changes typically come from our day-to-day regimens.
Abbey Tameron says the three habits that made the biggest difference to her hair didn't cost her a penny.
“It may sound familiar but I need every single person to start implementing this because it literally changed my hair,” the content creator explained.

“No, it’s not extensions, I didn’t take any hair supplementation. Tip number one is to drink your water. It does help, there is science behind it. It helps with your blood flow.”
Proper hydration is imperative for promoting hair growth and maintaining healthy locks, with experts recommending two litres a day to boost strength and growth.
Water helps nourish the follicles and provides the moisture necessary for optimal hair health.
When the body doesn’t get enough liquids, hair growth may come to a standstill and tresses may be more prone to damage.
Abbey combines this with regular massages to direct more blood to the scalp.
With clean hands, she gently rubs her scalp between two to five minutes a day, she explained.
Studies cited in Healthline suggest massages enhance hair growth by stretching hair follicle cells, stimulating them to produce thicker hair.
Massages equally dilate blood vessels beneath the skin and encourage hair growth.
“Lastly, just shampoo your scalp," added Abbey. "Stop shampooing your ends. I promise it will work. I have not shampooed my ends in five years.

“When your hair is wet, it’s super fragile. So if you are shampooing [and moving it around] this is just going to cause a lot of unnecessary breakages.”
Because shampooing is topical and hair growth is systemic, the product itself doesn't influence hair growth.
Experts advise against applying shampoo to the tips of hair and recommend cleansing the scalp instead to avoid drying the tips out.
Generally, the product applied to the scalp will clean the rest of the hair when rinsed out under water.
