The cheapest and most expensive places to buy a house in England have been shared.
Homes in the North East are the most affordable at less than a third of the average price in London.
A home in London cost £534,265 on average in July 2023, according to the latest ONS House Price Index.
This is up around £6,000 on the same data from June 2023.
House prices have fluctuated
Those looking to buy in the North East of England will get the best deal, with a property costing an average of £163,480.
This is closely followed by Yorkshire and the Humber at £212,730 and the North West, where houses cost £215,648.
The North East had the lowest prices overall, but it also showed the highest annual house inflation as homes increased around 2.7 per cent year on year.
This is home to spots like Newcastle upon Tyne, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Hartlepool and Durham.
House prices in London were down year on year, by around 0.8 per cent.
