She said: "I recommend incorporating key ingredients that nourish and strengthen the hair from root to tip. One of these is minoxidil."

GETTYDr Tewari explained that minoxidil at two or five per cent is "a clinically proven treatment to fight against hair loss".
She advised: "It stimulates hair growth and improves density by extending the hair's natural growth phase."
Aside from minoxidil, topical preparations containing "niacinamide, turmeric and zinc" are very good choices.
Dr Tewari advised: "They support hair strength, reduce breakage, and thicken up the hair shaft, making hair appear fuller over time."
When it comes to products, the dermatologist recommended using a caffeine-based shampoo to "aid hair growth".
She said: "It works by stimulating the hair follicles and improving circulation, encouraging healthier strands."
Peptides and keratin are also good choices for women, as they work by "strengthening the hair shaft".
Dr Tewari advised: "They reduce damage and enhance thickness for a healthier overall look."
