A beauty enthusiast has shared how she uses Aloe Vera for hair conditioning
Ageing hair sometimes lacks essential proteins it needs to maintain strength and elasticity.
Fortunately, nature offers an abundance of ingredients to tackle these concerns, including Aloe Vera gel. Not only does the plant maintain hair pH balance, but it also dissolves dead skin cells and excess sebum.
Content creator Kirti Tewani, an expert in Ayurvedic practices, uses Aloe Vera to restore hair shine.
In a recent clip, the TikToker showed viewers how she extracts the gel straight from the plant to treat her scalp.

She explained: "This is the best hair mask I have ever tried. Just apply Aloe Vera fresh from the stem.
"Using Aloe Vera is a great way to get shinier and softer hair. It's also great for cleansing.
"Aloe Vera is gentle and contains vitamins A, C and E that contribute to hair growth and strong, shiny hair."
After a five-minute massage, Kirti leaves the gel in for 20 minutes before washing it off.
In a previous video, the beauty enthusiast claimed the ingredient can also combat hair loss.
"Your hair will not only shed less but will also become stronger, healthier and shinier," she explained.
According to WebMD, Aloe Vera contains fatty acids and amino acids and is rich in several key vitamins.
"These play a part in healthy hair follicles," the health body explained. "Aloe Vera has enzymes that break down fats and strip your hair of any extra oil (sebum). Helps an itchy scalp."
It continued: "Some people say Aloe Vera helps with hair growth, but there's no scientific proof.

"However, researchers believe that aloenin, a chemical compound in the plant, is a primary factor in promoting hair growth, as found in people with hair loss condition called alopecia."
While the plant gel is mostly sold as a hair product, it can also be extracted straight from the plant.
"Once the leaf has been peeled, you will see the natural Aloe Vera gel," explained the health body.
"Be careful not to include any pieces of the Aloe Vera skin. Blend the gel until it's frothy and liquefied, which should only take a few seconds."
