Houseplants are great for adding colour to the home and they also come with various health benefits, such as improving air quality and reducing stress.
Fiddle leaf figs are a common houseplant, but that doesn't mean they are easy to care for.
The tall, statement houseplant needs plenty of light to survive, but beware as it will burn if left in direct sunlight.
CEO of Lawn Love Jeremy Yamaguchi shared his top tips on where to place the plant to keep it alive and as healthy as possible. He explained how the right lighting is key.
Fiddle leaf figs require specific care conditions
GETTYHe told GB News: "Fiddle leaf figs are one of the most popular houseplants. These plants love light and will not survive without it.
"Position them somewhere where they can get indirect light all day and a small amount of direct light (one to two hours per day).
"But, make sure that direct sunlight isn’t hitting them in the afternoon because that can be too strong - try for some morning sun."
Make sure your fiddle leaf fig is somewhere where it can get at least six hours of light a day, but shaded from strong afternoon rays.
Also, keep it away from cold drafts and mist every few days to give the right humidity.
Be careful not to overwater the plants as well, as they do not need to be watered as often as you may think.
Jeremy continued: "You typically only need to water fiddle leaf figs once a week. They like to be watered pretty thoroughly, so make sure to give them a good amount each time.
"Check the top few inches of soil before watering again to make sure that it's dried out in between."

Keep the plants away from drafts and direct sunlight
GETTYIf properly cared for, indoor fiddle leaf figs can live around 15 years before reaching maturity.
Once you have found the perfect spot, try not to move the plant around as this can cause it to go into shock and the leaves to drop.
