Gardens in the UK definitely require less attention in the winter, but they shouldn't be ignored completely.
Speaking exclusively to GB News, an expert shared the jobs to do before the month is up.

The expert shared how Britons can adapt their gardens for creatures.
He told GB News: "Consider creating wildlife-friendly habitats in your garden.
"Install bird boxes, bug hotels and hedgehog houses to attract beneficial creatures that will help control pests naturally."
More specifically, Britons can make garden tweaks to help feed birds. Birds do not find food as easily in the winter so providing supplies for them is important.
He added: "In winter, our feathered friends struggle to find food, so make sure to put out bird feeders filled with high-energy food like suet or peanuts.
"Providing water is equally important, just make sure it doesn't freeze."
When it comes to plants, Tim explained it is great to get pruning done before the end of the month.
The expert said: "January is the ideal time to prune dormant trees, shrubs and roses.

"Remove any dead or crossing branches to improve airflow and shape the plant.
"Ensure you use clean, sharp tools and cut just above a bud or node."
Once the main jobs are completed, it is time to enjoy the garden even in the cold weather.
Tim continued: "Although it may be too cold to spend a lot of time outside, take a moment to enjoy the beauty of your winter garden. Watch for early signs of spring, such as snowdrops or crocuses, and appreciate the quiet tranquillity the season brings."
