Customers in Northern Ireland have been advised to return products to a Tesco store for a full refund
Tesco is the latest supermarket to recall products because they may be unsafe for customers to consume.
The supermarket told customers: "As a precaution, in Northern Ireland, Brennans are recalling three burger bun/hot dog roll products with a best before date of July 21, 2024. This is due to the possible presence of metal in the products."
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) warned that Brennans Bread and Connell Bakery products were pulled from shelves over the safety risk.
Product batches affected
Brennans Bun-Days Plain x 6
Brennans Mega Bun-Days Seeded x 6

Tesco assured customers that "no other Brennans products or best before dates are affected".
Affected shoppers were instructed: "If you’ve bought an affected product, please don’t eat it. Instead, return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required. Use our store locator to find your nearest Tesco.
"Alternatively, you can send the empty packaging with your name and address for a full refund to Brennans Bakeries, Greenhills Industrial Estate, Dublin 12."
Customers who require further information were advised to contact Brennans Bakery at +353 1 4608400 or customerservice@brennansbakeries.ie.
Customers can also contact Tesco Customer Services directly on 1800 248 123.
While food recalls don't occur too often, they must be taken incredibly seriously when they do.
The FSA explained: "If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
"The FSA issues Product Withdrawal Information Notices and Product Recall Information Notices to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food.
"In some cases, a 'Food Alert for Action' is issued. This provides local authorities with details of specific action to be taken on behalf of consumers."
Britons need to be aware of other food recalls that have taken place in recent days.
