'Do not eat!' Britons warned as Papa John's dips and 27 condiments sold in UK stores pulled from shelves

Papa John’s Garlic & Herb Dip

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) gave guidance for anyone with an allergy who may be affected by the recall.

It warned: "FGS Ingredients Ltd is taking the precautionary step of recalling a number of spice products that contain mustard, because they may contain peanuts which are not mentioned on the label.

"This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.

"If you have bought any of the above products and have an allergy to peanuts, do not eat them. Instead return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund."

As well as Papa John's dips being recalled, a number of spices and meals have been added to the updated list of recalled items. The full list of affected products can be found on the FSA website.

This comes as spices sold in Waitrose were pulled from shelves over health fears as a results of the same recall.

It said: "Do not consume, package up items and return the product to your local Waitrose & Partners branch for a refund."

"We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused."
