The recall, which has been extended to include additional items, affects various brand names sold at different retail stores across the UK.

FSG Ingredients Lts has taken swift action in response to the contamination risk, issuing point-of-sale notices where the affected products were sold.

It comes after James Hall & Co Ltd recalled SPAR Corned Beef because Listeria monocytogenes were found in the product.
Affected customers were told not to eat the product and instead return it to the store they purchased it from.
The recall affects SPAR stores in the North West of England, According to the FSA.
The agency cautioned: "Symptoms caused by (listeria monocytogenes) can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea."
