Nestlé will launch four new flavours of its iconic treats and customers have shared their opinions

Chocolate fans were left gutted as Nestlé recently announced it would axe two popular chocolate bars.

However, the confectionary brand has shared more details on its new 2024 range that includes four new flavours of its most popular sweets.

Nestlé has launched share bags for Munchies, Milkybar Buttons, Aero Melts and Rowntrees that feature nostalgic ice cream flavours.

Britons can tuck into Cookie Dough Ice Cream flavour Munchies, Neapolitan flavour Aero Melts, Raspberry Ripple flavour Milkybar Buttons and ice cream shaped Rowntree’s Randoms Foamies.

This is the latest product launch from Nestlé, who confirmed it would be bringing out new products to replace the Breakaway and Yorkie Biscuit bars that were recently scrapped.

Brand manager at Nestlé Cat Mews said: “We’re so excited to introduce our new Nestlé sharing bag range. Taking inspiration from those classic frozen flavours that we all know and love, we’ve developed some nostalgic taste combinations that chocolate fanatics will be sure to love.

“The new ice cream inspired range features deliciously flavoured products from four of our top sellers and we can’t wait for people to try them."

Shoppers who had found the new flavours shared mixed reviews, however, leaving their comments on social media.

Posting on X, one person branded the new Milkybar flavour "disgusting" while another added: "Milkybar shouldn't be messed with".

An X user who tried the Aero Melt flavour was a fan, penning: "The Neapolitan aero melts are just [drooling emoji]."

Another echoed this praise, saying the sweets "tastes like the ice cream".

A third consumer gave the product a rating of 3 out of 5 stars, posting on YouTube: "I think it's a nice product, it's interesting, but I'm not blown away by the flavours."

Anyone hoping to get their hands on the nostalgic flavours must act fast, however, as they are only available for a limited time.

The share bags are available at more major supermarket chains and have a RRP of £1.50.

This comes as Aldi sparked an internet frenzy with its version of Lurpak Spreadable, named Nordpak.

One man took to social media to ask: "At roughly half the price, is the Aldi version of Lurpak just as good as the real thing?"

An Aldi fan argued that "Aldi is brilliant" and "the same product for a third of the price - it's a no-brainer".

A second echoed this, stating: "Absolutely, can't tell the difference." While others disagreed.

One added: "No - I’ve tried it. Nothing can replace @Lurpak." A third stated: "No comparison. Lurpak by a mile…" A Lurpak fan said: "It is not and nor will it ever be…. There is only one Lurpak."
