The chocolate maker is bringing back a beloved treat that first launched in the 1950s after fans demanded its return
Nestlé's fan-favourite Caramac bar will make a comeback for a limited time this month, with fans urged to stock up on the treat.
Discontinued last year, the chocolate treat left fans devastated when they could no longer get their hands on the cult classic treat.
Caramac production came to a halt in November 2023 after the Nestlé recorded a “steady decline in sales”.
It first appeared on confectionary shelves in 1959 after its invention by the firm Mackintosh.
The snack was a staple on confectionary shelves for decades

Nestlé eventually took over production of the treat in 1988, by which point it had already concretised its reputation as a household favourite.
Unlike most Nestlé products, the creamy caramel-based treat is completely cacao-free but made solely from condensed milk and treacle.
It will only be returning to supermarkets for a limited time, so fans have been urged to replenish their supplies while stocks last.
Some who have already caught wind of the news flocked to social media platforms like X to share their excitement.
“I want a bulk order,” one Nestlé fan exclaimed, while another quipped: “I hope they make it in the size and thickness it was in the 60s.
“That was my favourite chocolate,” wrote one user.
Lisa Butterworth, chocolate classics brand manager for Nestlé UK and Ireland, said: “The calls for the return of Caramac were heard loud and clear, and for this unique bar we wanted to create a special opportunity for fans to enjoy it once more.
“We hope that this limited release gives people the opportunity to savour and stock up on Caramac as a feature of our appreciation for the longstanding support of our confectionary fans throughout the years.”
According to the brand manager, the range will include the classic Caramac single bar, a three-bar multipack and a sharing bag of Caramac buttons.
The news comes months after the axing of Caramac bars triggered a wave of reactions across social media.
