Fans are delighted to see the moreish chocolate bar for the first time since 2023

Caramac chocolate bars have triumphantly returned to UK stores, delighting fans who were devastated when Nestlé discontinued the beloved treat in 2023.

The caramel-based product, produced for over 60 years, is now available at Heron Foods stores nationwide.

Shoppers can purchase Caramac in packs of three for just £1.

The comeback follows a brief limited run last year after Nestlé initially axed the product, admitting it had been a "difficult decision" to discontinue it.

With more than 340 Heron Foods stores across the UK, fans have a good chance of finding the chocolate bar.

It's unclear how long Caramac will remain available this time, so enthusiasts are advised to stock up while they can.

Fans have expressed their delight at Caramac's return on the Hot Deals UK site.

One commenter, known as NewForestMonkeyBrains, described it as "Heaven in a bar. Just wonderful. I don't have one for ages, then I get one and remember just how great they are."

Another shopper wrote: "Caramac is like crack, very moreish." One user shared: "I love Caramac, it reminds me of my childhood."

The caramel treat was previously hailed as "the best ever" chocolate bar by fans.

Many were reportedly left in tears when Nestlé announced its discontinuation after six decades on shelves.

News of its return has predictably sparked enthusiasm among loyal customers.

For those unable to visit Heron Foods, Cadbury Caramilk offers a popular alternative. Launched in the UK in 2021, Caramilk has been identified by many Caramac fans as a suitable replacement.

It comes weeks after Nestle revealed that KitKat is set to undergo its biggest transformation in nearly 90 years, as the iconic four-finger chocolate bar makes way for a new two-column sharing design.

The legendary British chocolate brand will now offer a 99g sharing bar format with multiple break-off pieces, marking a significant departure from its traditional design that dates back to 1935.
