Experts have shared a "fun at-home recipe" to make the perfect mulled wine in just four steps.

Mulled wine recipe
Ingredients
75cl bottle Of Jam Shed Shiraz
2 oranges
1 thumb of ginger
4 cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
2 star anise
50g light brown sugar
Method
- Pour wine into a saucepan. Pare zest from the orange and thinly slice the ginger. Stir orange zest, ginger, spices and sugar into the wine.
- Cook over a moderate heat until simmering, about 10 minutes; add more sugar to taste as needed.
- Remove from the heat, cover and leave to stand for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Reheat gently before ladling into mugs.
