McDonald’s announces new burger to kick off summer as fan-favourite item makes a comeback

McDonald’s fans will be spoilt for choice this summer as the fast food chain introduces several new additions to its menu.
The chain has also granted fans’ wishes by bringing back fan-favourite items, which will feature on the menu permanently after May 29.
The star of the show will undoubtedly be The Hat Trick; a triple-patty burger served with two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup in glazed sesame seed buns.
Other menu items will include sharing boxes, including a chicken share box (six Chicken Selects, 12 chicken McNuggets, two McNugget dips and two Select Dips).

A spokesperson for the chain said: “For fans craving that big win this Summer, McDonald’s UK & Ireland has unveiled an exciting new menu, packed full of crowd-pleasers…
“Sharing is caring and there’s truly no better way to show it than a McDonald’s Sharebox with extra dips.”
“Introducing The Hat Trick, for when scoring once just isn’t enough. This winning new burger includes three 100 per cent beef patties, with two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup all in a glazed sesame seed bun.”
For cheese lovers, the beloved mozzarella bites are returning with a delectable tomato dip for £2.39.
The popular Iced Latte will also be making a highly anticipated revival and will feature on the menu permanently, McDonald’s has revealed.
It added: “A much-loved returner to the menu is the Galaxy Caramel McFlurry.
“Its soft dairy ice cream swirled with Galaxy Chocolate pieces and topped with Galaxy Caramel Chocolate sauce.”
Those who favour a warmer dessert can discover Galaxy Chocolate Raspberry Pie, which combines smooth chocolate and sweet fruit.
“Indulge in this crispy chocolate pastry filled with smooth chocolate ganache and delightful raspberry compote,” added McDonald's Spokesperson.

The shake-up comes after McDonald’s recently made changes to the way burgers are cooked in restaurants.
The chain has changed the way it grills its patties by giving them a tighter sear to keep juices locked inside.
