"We all know one sausage roll is just never enough, so we’ve created a wreath made up of 16 of them.

"Our Collection Handcrafted Christmas Sausage Roll Garland is a party food hole-in-one, made with all-butter puff pastry parcels filled with outdoor-bred pork, sage and caramelised onions.

"Enjoy it at its most golden and buttery, warm from the oven. We’re declaring this a Christmas buffet essential.

"Find our Collection Handcrafted Christmas Sausage Roll Garland in your local M&S Foodhall now."

The party product costs £10 for 630 grams and the retailer confirmed a roasted vegetable version of the garland is available for those avoiding meat.

Some customers rushed to leave their verdict, with one shopper saying, "these are delicious" and another simply leaving a "clapping hands" emoji in approval.

Another declared, "this should be a regular item", while a fourth said they had "got mine on order".

The item is available in M&S Foodhalls and can also be purchased on Ocado.

This comes as Britons looking for a show-stopping dessert go wild over a newly released Lidl treat.

The discount supermarket launched the The Deluxe Christmas Express Belgian Chocolate Train, which is a chocolate treat in the shape of a green and gold train.

The dessert serves eight people and costs £9.99, or £6.99 if using the Lidl Plus app.

Customers were eager to get their hands on it, with one saying it is the "best dessert I've seen in a long time" and others adding that they couldn't wait to try it.
