"Our much-loved Percy Pig™ sweets are made with real fruit juice and no artificial colours or flavourings."

Marks & Spencer shoppers headed to Facebook to share their excitement, with a post by NewFoodsUK receiving many positive "reactions".

One shopper commented, "they look good" and another agreed, branding the sweets "yummy".

Others said they can't wait to try, with one noting, "I may treat myself" and a second writing, "yes please".

Other hungry Percy Pig fans tagged their loved ones to alert them to the news or left 'heart' emojis under the post.

This follows the return of the Reversy Percy, and GB News compared these to the originals in a taste test.

As the weather cools across the UK, many Britons will be starting to think about autumn and Halloween.

For some, it's not too early to think about Christmas either, and Marks & Spencer has already been putting festive treats into Foodhall branches.

This includes the return of the Iced Topped Mince Pie, which have been a hit with shoppers who have said they are glad to see them again.
