Britons can't wait to snap up M&S' "soft and chewy" Pretzel Rolls

Social media has been abuzz with positive reactions following the launch of Marks & Spencer's Pretzel Rolls.

The savoury snacks, priced at 75p each, are available at the supermarket's in-store bakeries.

M&S' official description reads: "Our Pretzel Rolls are a rich, golden-brown colour and have a soft, chewy texture. They are the perfect side with soups and stews, or as a sandwich bun."

Food blog Newfoodsuk announced the launch of the rolls on social media, stating: "New Pretzel Rolls now in the Bakery section at Marks & Spencer."

The post quickly generated excitement across Facebook and Instagram, amassing thousands of likes and comments from enthusiastic shoppers.

Eager comments flooded in, with customers declaring, "The pretzels roll looks nice" and "Oh, those look so good".

Some admitted they are rather moreish: "Bought two of these today and have eaten both."

Many tagged friends with messages such as "You'd love these, babe" and "When are we going to M&S?".

A few shoppers even arranged meetups: "More M&S bakery delights. Shall we go to the food hall and then have a night in snaffling it all?"

Several social media users suggested creative uses. One claimed that "pretzel rolls make fab burger buns", while another stated: "I need one now with a load of butter".

But some customers were quick to point out that Lidl offers a similar product at a lower price point.

"Lidl ones all day long - 35p," commented one shopper, while another noted they are "identical to the ones in Lidl".

Another remarked that the rolls "look just like Lidl's", to which a fellow social user retorted that "they sure aren't Lidl prices".

In other M&S news, the supermarket recently delighted customers with its "extra special" twist on Dubai chocolate.

The new treat combines chunky creamy milk chocolate with smooth pistachio crème, caramel and roasted pistachio pieces.

Shoppers took to social media to express their excitement to try it. One chocoholic declared that the treat "looks amazing", while another stated: "Unfortunately, I will totally buy into this."
