New Marks & Spencer Easter egg hits UK stores but customers are divided - 'Looks so underwhelming'

The product is felt to be too expensive with many customers
Marks & Spencer shoppers have been mixed in their opinions of the new Outrageously Chocolatey Custard Cream Biscuity Egg.
The easter egg, which is in the shape of a rectangle, came into stores at the start of 2025 and is described as having a luxurious hollow milk chocolate shell with crunchy biscuit pieces, decadent white chocolate and custard truffle.
The chocolate treat, which is priced at £12, has left customers feeling a bit short-changed.
One customer felt the price was too much for what the product was worth. They wrote: "It's really nice, but not £12 nice."

Britons were alerted to the find by the food blog Newfoodsuk which shared a post on Facebook.
Customers have been reacting to the new Easter egg online, with one writing: "OMG, looks so underwhelming. I was going to buy this but looks rubbish."
Another use was critical over the timing of the release of the product. They said: "Of course Christmas a week ago and now all Easter stuff comes on," to which another user followed up and said: "Literally crazy isn't it!"
One customer was favourable though of the new treat. They said: "Oh my! This looks delicious!"
A food reviewer gave a critical verdict of the sweet treat online.
They wrote: "Instant kinder egg vibes... then milkybar. There are hints of custard cream in the white chocolate but it's overpowered by the kinder egg taste.
"This should have been made as a £3.50 sharing block or one of those pimped-up £6.50 bars, not an easter egg. £12 for a 320g product. Would I buy again? No."
