Heinz has disappointed fans after axing a staple treat many consider superior to regular Heinz Beanz

Heinz has dealt a blow to fans of its Weight Watchers beans after confirming the product’s discontinuation on social media.

The move has left shoppers devastated, with one lamenting: “Why can’t I buy them anywhere… They’re better than the normal ones.”

The healthy alternative has been unavailable from British supermarkets for months and loyal customers have been quick to notice.

Heinz confirmed on X: “The Weight Watchers from Heinz Beans have been discontinued.”

The decision to axe the product is part of a broader trend of discontinuations that has left consumers frustrated and searching for alternatives.

Alongside the Weight Watchers beans, the popular chicken and sweetcorn soup has also been discontinued.

The brand’s easy-to-use spray salad dressing also vanished from shelves, leaving some shoppers bewildered.

The recent discontinuation of Heinz Ploughman’s Pickle also recently sparked concern and disappointment among customers.

While several of the brand’s beloved products have been discontinued, it launched a new pasta product for the first time in years.

Heinz announced last month that Spaghetti Carbonara would join its repertoire of meals in September, making it the first new tinned pasta to be released in more than a decade.

The company said it launched easy, quick and tasty recipes to help take the fuss out of cooking.

It shared that the goal was to create a formula that allows pasta lovers to nail the recipe every single time.

Meals director at Kraft Heinz Alessandra de Dreuille said: “We understand that people are looking for convenient meals that are effortless to prepare, and our new Spaghetti Carbonara delivers just that.

“It’s the perfect solution for a quick and satisfying meal after a long day or shared with friends whilst catching up on the latest TV series, Heinz Spaghetti Carbonara is the perfect fuss-free dinner solution.”

Earlier this year Heinz partnered up with Richmond to launch two new additions to its portfolio; Heinz Beanz and Spaghetti with Sausages.

The permanent additions to the FMCG giant’s range are replacements to the existing Beanz and Spaghetti with Sausages range.

Richmond was the “perfect partner to take these family mealtime staples to the next level,” said Heinz.

Discussing the update, Alessandra said: “Heinz Beanz and Spaghetti with Sausages have long been a speedy tea time staple for many families across the country.

“Whilst they have always been well loved, we’re a big believer in always striving to create the best possible food product, and that means improving our recipes from time to time.”
