'Please don't do this!' Fan fury as Greggs axes popular menu item - it's the only good one'

Greggs has updated its offerings with a popular item set to "take a break" from the menu
Greggs customers will no longer be able to pick up a vegan steak bake as the product is pulled from the menu.
Customers have shared their disappointment over the removal of the pastry that was first launched in January 2020.
The bake is described as: "Vegan-friendly, bespoke Quorn™ mycoprotein pieces, wrapped in golden puff pastry. New and improved, but still as drool-worthy as you remember.
"The tasty Quorn™ mycoprotein pieces are mixed with diced onions and a vegan-friendly gravy."
Greggs has axed its vegan steak bake

Some bakery fans noticed the vegan steak bakes have been more difficult to come by in recent weeks and Greggs confirmed it would be removed from shelves.
However, it said this is to make way for a new vegan option that will launch in stores within days.
The last of vegan steak bakes are still in some branches so customers should be quick if they want to grab one of these.
Greggs fans have taken to social media to share their disappointment at the menu change.
Posting on X, one said: "@GreggsOfficial I’ve just heard that you’re binning the Vegan Steak Bake again?! Please, don’t do this to us. I love the Vegan Steak Bake. It will be sorely missed."
Another added: "Please don’t get rid of the vegan steak bake again.
"All the non-vegans have loads of options. It’s the only good one. Don’t bring the bean and cheese one back, it’s gross."
A third added: "@GreggsOfficial where has the vegan steak bake gone? Don’t do this to us."
One more questioned: "Why has the vegan steak bake disappeared again?"
